What is wrong with us?”

Office Holds No Attraction

“What is wrong with us?” For the last several presidential campaigns, I have asked myself this question.

Just like millions of singles every Saturday night, they wonder why they always end up with the same pathetic losers; why there are not even a few truly wonderful people to go out with.

For some, when they ask this question, they take the opportunity to look inside themselves and make changes—to improve and become worthy of something better.

Every four years, the people of this nation face the same problem. Each time (and this time will be no different) the choices come down to the lesser of two evils—and no choice worth choosing.

I truly feel that we need to start asking ourselves this question—then get ourselves to the gym, library, college, or church; whatever it takes, so that someone of value will step up and ask us to dance.

I do not know what it would take to attract a person worthy of being president, but what we are doing now is not working.
