Chapter 01: Origins and the Mega-Universe
The two particles of life that formed my being, or that formed one-half of my being, came together approximately four score years before the appearance of the being that called itself God, and the return of the dead of all time.
These two particles of life, of course, were the sperm and
ovum that, at that time, were two separate lives, but today exist as what I am.
Even to this day, I can recall that day so long ago when
life suddenly became mine in that glorious union. The thoughts that those two
particles of life had. Each floating alone in a world all to themselves. Each
alone in themselves, but alive in my mother. Each with a need to join, the need
to be more than something alone without purpose.
When they who had been separated found each other, it was
pure ecstasy. In all the lonely universe, there was another. The two came
together to form what became me.
I was raised like most others of my time. I spent my first
nine months in my mother, using that time to learn what it is to be a member of
the Mega-Universe. I was able to do this because, in the Mega-Universe, all
life can communicate through thought. I learned how all life in the
Mega-Universe respected life and each other. I learned to respect other life
more than I respected myself. This was the way that had brought peace to our
universe.
When I was born, my parents and I decided on the name of
Mys. Then, I set to work in an interesting organization, and I found that my
gifts were in the area of writing. I had a drive to learn the truth and a good
sense of where to find stories to write about. I also had a love for the past.
I went to work on a newspaper as a reporter, or a real-time historian.
In the early days of the newspaper, it was intended to
disseminate information with a slanted view, but over time, it became a way to
preserve the present for the future. For this reason, the job was given the
title of real-time historian. It is my job not only to distribute the facts to
the life of today, but to look at it for the life of tomorrow.
For many of the life forms of the past, I should explain
what has happened since the point at which they died. The place to start would
be at the beginning, if only we knew when that was.
We do know that at some point, there was the beginning of
time and the creation of the Mega-Universe. Sometime after that came the
universal planes. The universal planes are areas of space that exist in the
same physical space as each other but are especially difficult to travel
between.
Next came the constructed members of the planes—the galaxies,
stars, gas clouds, planets, moons, and rocks—which make up the smallest but
most important parts of the Mega-Universe.
After this happened, life began to appear on these
constructed members of the planes. Life that was as varied as the Mega-Universe
itself. But almost all life had to exist by the death of some other life.
Usually, this would start with cells digesting the remains
of other cells. Those cells would then evolve into more complex forms with
greater ability to digest, and in some cases, the ability to kill.
Strangely enough, it is this killing that would one day lead
to the Mega Universal society that exists today. It was from the killing that
some life forms became so skilled that they learned the horror of killing and
the senselessness of making something die so that they could survive. The
understanding they grasped led them to new learning. They learned compassion.
After a long time, the members of the life forms that killed
took the skill they had learned and used it for the preservation of life. In
most cases, they would start by not killing their own kind but would live on
life that was so different from their own that it was not recognized as alive.
Soon, they recognized that this too was folly.
The life forms then had to find a way to allow themselves to
survive without killing. Some tried to live off chemicals but found that the
energy of life was soon gone. They had to find a way to give themselves the
power of life. They found it at the very source of life itself. From the power
of a star or its light, they found that it was possible to sustain life from
light alone and to multiply life with just a few minerals.
So they modified their own genes to live on light. They also
changed any life form that really wanted to be changed to be able to live on
light.
When life started, it soon found that it needed a way to
communicate. Each form of life found different ways to communicate. Some
through making sounds, some by changing colors, some by changing shapes, but
most through exchanging thoughts.
For billions of years, there was a whole Mega Universal
society that existed only in the thought of the life of the universe. This
continued until the life that had the skills to be the engineers started to
move out of their own worlds and into their universe. The blossoming of
knowledge that made this possible also made them realize that perhaps
communication in thought was possible. When they finally reached out with their
whole minds, they found that everything around them was alive and talking.
The Mega Universal society developed as a society that did
not need to kill, but the killing continued. The life of the Mega-Universe had
done away with the need to kill to physically survive. They could communicate
their thoughts in the truest way, but they still had war because life still
wanted to secure its rights, even if it meant killing to do so.
It was the search for the right for oneself or the group one
considered oneself a part of that led to conflict. What was missing was the
respect for the rights of each individual.
For millions of years, the right of a group was the ultimate
goal that was to be striven for. But what of the right of a person to feel
power? What of the right of a person to feel love? Everyone was so hung up on
their rights that they were trampling on these rights.
It was realized that the only way to protect their rights
was not to enforce them. Each life form had the right to do what it wanted. But
what they wanted was not to have their rights taken away. Eventually, the life
forms stopped taking advantage of each other’s rights by not demanding their
own rights. This is where we are now.
As I said, I am a real-time historian, and I work with
information. The structure of work has changed over the years. The main areas
of work today are information, transportation, and creating things. For those
of us working with information, we work with words, numbers, and thoughts. We
perceive them and use them to help everyone understand what has happened, what
is happening, and what might happen. Those who work in transportation move
workers and give thought to the expanse of the Mega-Universe and hold us all
together. Finally, those who create make the machine, dream the new dreams, and
give the Mega-Universe the dynamic that keeps it vibrant. Of course, this is a
simple view; everyone helps in all of these aspects.
